Fujitsu General America has announced its plan to introduce a range of ducted and ductless HVAC products for residential and light-commercial use that employ R-32 refrigerant, aiming to lessen their environmental impact in line with the American Innovation and Manufacturing (AIM) Act. Already distributing R-32 products globally for over a decade across various categories, Fujitsu General’s expansion into North America aligns with the global acceptance of R-32 refrigerant. These products, set to launch in compliance with regulatory timelines, promise significant environmental benefits over the commonly used R-410A, including up to a 40% reduction in refrigerant charge and a 30% lower lifecycle climate impact.

Additionally, they offer improved energy efficiency that could result in cost savings for consumers. With the AIM Act’s implementation on the horizon, Fujitsu plans to offer a comprehensive R-32 product lineup along with training for installation and maintenance. Tomokazu Hosoi, president of Fujitsu General America, emphasized the company’s dedication to reducing environmental impact and greenhouse gas emissions through these initiatives.
